Mount Nyiragongo
This is the world’s largest active lava lake located in Virunga national park (the oldest national park in Africa and the richest in flora and fauna), Congo.
If you think you will only see the lava lake at the top of the lake, you are wrong! You would see different animals while hiking to the top of the mountain, including chimpanzees, various species of monkey, three-horned chameleon, bushbuck.
Hiking on this world most giant stratovolcano takes approximately 5-6 hours, though it takes about 4 hours to descend, that’s entirely fair compared to other mountains.
Mount Toubkal
You’ve probably seen different articles asking how hard it is to climb Mount Toubkal; well, in my opinion, if you can hike other mountains, you can hike at mount Toubkal.
Mount Toubkal is North Africa’s highest peak at 4,167 metres high, located in Toubkal national park, Morocco. You don’t need to be an expert climber, but you should have some level of fitness. It takes an average of three days to hike to the summit of the mountain.

It takes an average of about 10 hours to hike to the top and down. Though hiking on Chappal Waddi is one of the most challenging hikes in Nigeria, it is worth it.

Luang Prabang, Laos
Luang Prabang isn’t a mountain; it is a town with many remote villages, surrounding hills and mountains you can hike through. There is no particular time to go around the villages it depends on how long you are willing to spend there. One thing that amazes me about Luang Prabang is how beautiful the landscapes are
Laos is a beautiful country with so many hiking trails that are usually not talked about.
